Problems with MAC email

If you are having problems setting your email on MAC, try the following steps

  1.  Open Mail
  2. Go to Mail, Preferences
  3. Select the accounts option from the top of the page
  4. Click the mail account concerned on the left of the page
  5. Select the “Advanced” tab
  6. Deselect “Use SSL”
  7. Select the “Account Information” tab
  8. In the drop down menu “Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) select “Edit SMTP server list)
  9. Select the email account at the top of the page and ensure the option “Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is not selected. Click OK.

If you are using an IPhone, Blackbeery or Android phone make sure SSL is not be selected.

Please note,

Having continuous problem can result having your domain blocked. This is becuase the password is not being passed to the server correctly. After a certain number of failed attempts, a block is automatically put in place.  If that does occur, just email support@wellsites.com.au with your IP address.  You can obatin your IP address from http://whatismyipaddress.com/.

It can take upto 48 hours to propagate unblock of your site.
