Issue:
Trying to click on on a valid wordpress Post/blog, get the error “Not Found”
Solution:
The problem lies in the “slug” or url. When you create a page or post, wordpress automatically generates the unique slug/url for that page or post. It usually just takes the title. WordPress does have a limit on how long the slug/url should be. If a valid, published wordpres post/blog is not being shown, decrease the size of the slug by a word or few characters.
Quickest way to do this:
- Log onto your dashboard
- hover your mouse over the relevant post
- click on Quick Edit
- Edit the slug/url by shortening the url.
- save
- view post
